Pakistan vs South Africa 2025: Complete fixture list, live streaming details, and more | Cricket News

Pakistan is all set to begin its ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 journey with a two-match Test series against South Africa, starting on October 12. The Proteas are returning to Pakistani soil for a red-ball series for the first time since 2021, when Pakistan had handed them a comprehensive 2-0 defeat under the leadership of Babar Azam. This series will mark the beginning of a complete bilateral tour, which includes not just the Test matches but also six limited-overs fixtures – three ODIs and three T20Is. The ODI leg of the tour is particularly noteworthy as it brings 50-over international cricket back to Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium after 17 years. The stadium last hosted an ODI in April 2008, when Pakistan faced Bangladesh. PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed expressed his excitement over this milestone. “We are delighted to welcome South Africa as our first opponent in the WTC 2025-27 campaign. The return of ODI cricket to Faisalabad after 17 years is a significant moment. The Iqbal Stadium has a rich cricketing history, and we look forward to reconnecting fans in this region with international cricket,” he said. This multi-format series will play a crucial role in Pakistan’s WTC campaign while also providing an opportunity to test the squad’s bench strength in the white-ball formats ahead of a busy international schedule.Pakistan vs South Africa Tour Schedule
