Following the massive success of ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ a new film is set to bring together Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh once again, according to reports. The movie will feature a talented cast, including Diljit, Vedang Raina, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah, to bring Ali’s vision to the screen. The project will also mark the reunion of the renowned creative team A.R. The film portrays the life of Chamkila, who rose from a Dalit Sikh family in Punjab, frustrated with factory work, to become a sensational singer known for his bold songs about love and defiance. It chronicles his swift ascent and untimely death at 27. The movie was met with widespread acclaim, and Diljit has now been nominated for Best Actor at the International Emmy Awards 2025.
